On November 6, 2012 the citizens of El Paso approved the 2012 Quality of Life Bond Issue. The Eastside Regional Park is just one of many quality of life improvements projects to become a reality in our city. This $48 million park will be built on 92 acres near Montana Avenue and Hueco Club Road.
ECM International has been hired by the City of El Paso to provide management services for the development of the park. The first task, to select a Master Planner for the entire site has been completed. The master planning process is ongoing at this moment. Please keep checking this website for updates to this project.
When it's completed, Eastside Regional Park will be approximately twice as big as Eastwood (Album) Park, three times as big as Marty Robbins Park, and about four times as big as Yucca Park.
Development of the entire site will take many years. To ensure the site is developed in an orderly, efficient, and cost-effective manner, the city is developing a master plan which will be phased-in over time.
Phase I: Design and construction of a 50-meter pool, recreational pool, community center, and any associated infrastructure. Design and construction will be funded by the 2012 Quality of Life Bond.
Phase II: Design and construction of other priority amenities identified by the community and any associated infrastructure. Design and construction will be funded by the 2012 Quality of Life Bond.
Phase III: Long-term visions identified by the community for the park's future.
Design and construction for these amenities would occur over time if future
funding is available.
