On March 25, 2015, the City of El Paso presented the master plan for Eastside Regional Park. The plan, which includes tree lined park roads, trails, and recreation facilities, is the result of months of interactive meetings with stakeholders and the community.
When it's completed, Eastside Regional Park will be approximately twice as big as Eastwood (Album) Park, three times as big as Marty Robbins Park, and about four times as big as Yucca Park. Development of the entire site will take many years. To ensure the site is developed in an orderly, efficient, and cost-effective manner, the city is developing a master plan which will be phased-in over time.
Phase I: Design and construction of a 50-meter pool, recreational pool, community center, and any associated infrastructure. Design and construction will be funded by the 2012 Quality of Life Bond.
Phase II: Design and construction of other priority amenities identified by the community and any associated infrastructure. Design and construction will be funded by the 2012 Quality of Life Bond.
Phase III: Long-term visions identified by the community for the park's future. Design and construction for these amenities would occur over time if future funding is available.
